I had the same problem for years and no one ever took me seriously however this is a major issue. After numerous visits to the gynaecologist, tests and scans i was eventually admitted for exploratory surgery. i was subsequently diagnosed with endometriosis and had further surgery to take it away. since then the pain has subsided and i have received psycho-sexual counselling to deal with issues arising from the pain. take a look at the National Endometriosis Society website, if you have a couple of the symptoms perhaps you should speak with your GP again. i would add though the only way to diagnose is surgery. Good luck. x

Above all the obious answers i will give you a serious one to think about. Im not sure how old you are but im 26 and when i was about 22-23 i started having pain all the time during sex. You need to think if it hurts anyother times like urinating or bowel movements. Things like that can lead to endometriosis. The only way to diagnose it is to have a laporoscopy done. Its a fairly easy procedure one day thing....Hope its not that though. Good Luck

my first couple of sexual experiences with my husband is related to your question. i've heard that having sex when being a virgin the 1st couple of times would be painful. that thought stuck in my head and i was so nervous the night we did it and yes it hurt. i wasnt ready for the pain part of it. the first couple of times we did it, it hurt because i wasnt relaxed and i was so tense because all i could think about was that it would hurt and i didnt enjoy it at all. But slowly i started to relax and open up and naturally the pain went away and it became a pleasurable even with my husband. so dont be tense, try to relax and make sure you have foreplay enough to get you going. Good luck.

I have the same problem. It hurts so bad like ripping and just plain out sore. It feels like I'm being cut internally. I spoke to my GYN about this and she said it's because I'm tight inside and she suggested a lot of lube, like KY or astroglide. It does help but I still do get sore. I keep telling my fiance he needs a penis reduction lol seriously though I hear/feel your pain. This sounds sick too but you can try sitting on an ice pack after.

maybe its because you are tense at the prospect of having sex which may be painful, and this in turn can cause the pain if you cant relax. Try getting your partner to build up very slowly before hand so you can relax. A glass of wine might help too!

If your gynecologist says things are fine stick to having sex with him.

Look, here is the thing with so many people on here that ask about a health problem. They say, "I went to my doctor and she couldn't find anything wrong with me." All doctors are NOT right all the time. If you have pain, something is wrong with you. If your doctor can't find it and fix it, get another doctor....get a second opinion....tell your doctor to refer you to a specialist, because SHE IS NOT A VERY GOOD DOCTOR. There, feel better?

Maybe a visit to a sex therapist could help. If there is no physical problem then its likely to be emotional or psychological issues which need sorting.

Where do you feel the pain? Maybe it's because you are dry when you have sex and the penis rubs you raw. If not, maybe he is hitting your cervix. When you relax during sex and enjoy it, he won't hit your cervix so much

My best friend had the same prob( and still does somewhat, she's 30 now). Her dr's had her on meds, birth control, etc, to help, but they never did. Not sure what to tell you, try lubricants and if you're NOT married, give it up for awhile!!!!!
