I say no, because bugs want the nutrients in the wood, and driftwood is dead, dead, dead, and dry, so bugs won't eat it.

Termites eat dead wood. If the driftwood it pine heart or "lighter wood", it won't have any insects. Sometimes bugs live in dead wood for a home, not for food.
