I need this infromation for a debate. I need argue taht the United States Government should immediatly pledge full humanitarian assistance to the people fo teh Democratic Republic of Congo.

I have found a lot of infromation on this topic, including details on the conflict there, but have not found anything saying how much it would cost to help the 38,000 people dying each month mostly from treatable diseases.

Whatever the cost is of a 5 megaton yield nuclear weapon is on the open market plus fuel costs and cost of delivery system. The force that is now driving China.

I'd be arguing on the other side of that debate. I believe we've done irreparable harm by propping up unsustainable cultures in the middle east and Africa. These countries cannot sustain their current level of population on the resources available, and cannot develop a stable government while there is continuous outside influence.

The situation in many of those countries is dire; it is heart-wrenching to see children starving or dying of illnesses we can easily cure; but it is also nature taking its course. The more we interfere, the worse we make things. We need to step aside and let an equilibrium develop in those countries.

At the same time, we need to concentrate on fixing our own country; reducing our waste of natural resources, feeding the 6 million children that go to bed in America every night hungry; and providing universal health care for our own population.
