So, with all the old men dating ridiculously young girls, is it okay then for a 26 yr old female to date/sleep with a 16yr old guy?

Both the 26yr old and the 16yr old are in college and both have jobs...it's not like he's in high school still! and YES 16 IS the age of consent in AL!!!

The State I live in is: ANYONE more than 10 years older than the other, they HAVE to go to a Circuit Court Judge and get permission.
There has been to many young people marrying older people for the money.

It's a good idea.

I think it's wrong to be sleeping with a 16 year old if you are 10 years older. What could the two people really have in common as the basis for a long lasting relationship? 99.9% of the time it's going to be just about the sex, which in my mind doesn't make it right. If however there was a huge emotional connection there, and you both felt that destiny was playing a part in it, then wait it out, at least until the 16 year old finishes school. The one person in the world for me is 5 years younger than I am, and I would NEVER have involved myself sexually when I was 21 and they were 16 - just too young, luckily we met when I was 29 so I didn't have to make that hard choice to wait :)

A gap of 10 years between two people dating or marrying is very common. I think that a ten year gap that includes a 16 year old is wrong. At that age they should be with those closer to their age.

I'm going to be completely honest. I would feel really WEIRD if I were to sleep with a 16 year old male. That could almost be your little brother. YIKES! That's your choice, though. People do it all the time. You make that decision for yourself.

Teens should date someone no more than a years difference in age. The older we get, the less age matters --- to a degree.
