Top of the bottom group. You always feel stupid when you're at the bottom. When you're at the top of anything, people look up to you. Believe me, I've been in both places.

It is better to be at the top of the bottom group because you really only get help if you are one of the better ones in the group. Ones at the bottom tend to get kind of ignored.

Top of the bottom group means no place to expand or progress; better to be bottom of the top group so the influence of the others in that group will help you expand, grow and improve. Hope that helps.

I always had a good time being the top of the bottom maths group cos when the teacher was out of the room everybody else used to ask me to explain the questions they were stuck on. Of course I always lusted to be bottom of the top group, but hey never mind. I was the talented one who got up on stage in assembly and sang to the whole school instead. Professional Singer now of course!

If you are at the bottom of the top group, you have room for improvement and promotion. If you are at the top of the bottom group, you are as far as you can go.

Is it not the same thing? Or very little difference. You can argue both are better than the other. A) At least you are in the top group, or B) You are the top of your group.

Better bottom of the top group as you can only improve & get better & more experienced so the only way is up! The other scenario means you'll be stuck & move nowhere! Have a good day! :o)

When I was at school, back in the dark ages, I was in the top group for history; I was struggling and was put down one level. At first I was ashamed of this but actually found it a good experience as I did really well in the second group and found I enjoyed the subject much more.
