I am not pregnant but moody as hell. Not easy being pregnant, morning sickness, carrying a baby for 9 months, having caring friends and family telling you how much it hurts giving birth that is enough to make any person moody. Then once the baby is born you get all these cards with congrats its a boy or girl , all the attention is on the baby and you miss out and then once the feeding and nappy changing starts you are all alone, everybody who made such a fuss has disappeared. It is a hard hard hard life ag jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

It is definately the hormones. The womens body goes through such major changes and it really does affect mood.
It isnt all bad through the whole pregnancy. There will be plenty of times that mood is under control.
Unfortunately the moodiness is out of control of the pregnant woman. She is like on a rollar coaster and just has to go along for the ride. You cant get off until you get to the end. and even then there is still some after affects!
But it is all worth it in the end. A beautiful baby of your very own to treasure and love forever. You will do it all over again!!!!!!!!

Not all women are moody - some are but others feel on top of the world and are hppier when pregnant. If you've a partner who is moody looks like you're one of the unlucky ones. Never mind - next time it might all be different :-)

You cannot make a blanket statement like that, simply because not all women are moody when they are pregnant, when i was pregnant, i remember being over the moon, and was always happy, it depends on how uncomfortable the woman is, or if she is experiencing any problems through her pregnancy...no doubt you're a man right.....maybe the man should play more of the caring role towards his pregnant woman, it may just smooth things out.

You try it and then see why we are so moody! Hormones all over the place, sickness, nausea, a great big belly with no clothes that fit, the promise of excruciating pain at the end of it all, then you have to think about the sleepless nights, the sore nipples, the stretch marks, the baby belly.... Need I go on?

A woman's hormone levels spike in pregnancy. This is also a very stressful time for a mother. Her body is growing another human being. The thought of being responsible for another life can be overwhelming as well. Be a loving supporter and you may bring her some relief.

They aren't getting their monthly period. When they have the regular monthly period, it helps control and maintain their hormones. Once they are pregnant and are not getting a period for 9 months, their hormones get all screwed up. Also.... have some sympthay they are carrying another human being inside of them...morning sickness, headaches, cramps..etc... how would you feel?! Just be patient and understanding!
