Why don't i ask you, which come first, the egg or the chicken?

The fruit came first so the answer is both at the same time unless the fruit in the garden of Eden was not orange which I doubt. You could say it takes the yellow orange sun to grow the fruit in order to make the orange and therefore the answer is orange but that is assuming the fruit wasn't already in existence.

im pretty sure the fruit was around before anyone called it a name. And the name came to represent the color, unlike other fruits like Cherries or Strawberries.

Before the orange fruit was introduced to the English-speaking world, the colour was referred to (in Old English) as geoluhread, which translates into Modern English variously as yellow-red, yellowred, or yellored (all pronounced the same).

The color orange probably came first, as the light spectrum includes orange, and God made light first of all.

The fruit. In other languages it's not called the colour orange. In Afrikaans (A native African language) it's called a lemoen and the colour is oranje
