They cannot blow their noses until they are 2 or 3 years old......

Regular aspirators do not work.....
you have to get the baby vac.......available on the website or at the baby/toddler shows (that's where I purchased mine)
they use this in hospitals.......

http://babyvac.com (in the U.S.)
http://babyvac.ca (in Canada)

this helps prevent further infection like ear or sinus infections....
clears them right up.....
I love this thing!! It works! and my daughter is so much better....

for now keep your baby upright so it's easier for them to breathe........and try some Vick's.......put a layer of Vaseline then the Vick's.......unless you have Baby Vick's vapo rub......

also bathe them in the Johnson's Vapo Bath......and I believe there is cream for that too......

use a humidifier as well to moisten the air.......like Vick's Vaporizer and SALINEX too.

Hope this helps.

They make saline drops for babies, but I hate using them because when they go in the baby's nose it drips down the back of their throat and chokes them. The doctor said it doesn't choke them, that it just makes them mad but I disagree. I think a steamy shower would be your best bet.

In Parents magazine this month they have a massage you can do for a stuffy nose.

Put your index fingers in the corners of your baby's eyes, along his nose. (Rest your thumbs by his chin.) Gently press in and up, then glide your fingers bit by bit down the sides of his nose and then across his cheeks. Repeat 3 times.

It really does work I tried it on my 3 1/2 month old son.

First, evaluate the rationalization behind the stuffy nostril. Pets contained in the abode? Sorry, notwithstanding it would propose you need to get rid of them from the abode. (we had 3 cats....regrettably had to grant them away...yet we had a healthful infant after that). a large number of books/paper round? get rid of them, and vaccuum religiously. Miniblinds? Wash them in warm water and sparkling them a week. old mattresses/pillows? throw them away, purchase new, and wash pillows in warm water each and each month. a million/2 of the burden of a 10 3 hundred and sixty 5 days old pillow is dirt mites AND their feces. Nasty. For treating indications....saline nasal spray for babies.....supply some water or juice about 5 minutes later, and then use a nasal aspirator about quarter-hour later. seek for suggestion out of your record about giving youngster's mucinex. shop a humidifier in his room 24/7. upload a pinch of salt to the water to get the completed vapor result, and ask your record about utilising the medicated things you could placed into the authentic of the vaporizer. I basically use water with slightly salt, myself, and swear through it. shop the baby's nostril lined once you bypass out contained in the chilly, and simmer water on your range in the course of the day in case your finished abode is amazingly dry. best of success. i take advantage of a majority of those approaches with very strong consequences.

I use Q-Tips in my baby's nose to get the mucous out. I don't insert them very far, just right inside the tip of her nose and that seems to do the trick so far. She doesn't like it, but I just have to be really quick. The aspirator just doesn't do the job.

A humidifier with a little bit of eucalyptus oil or menthol in it.

A plug in vapo rub defuser is good , or just a simple air defuser.

Really the steam is the best thing, you could get a cool mist vaporizer.
