I can remember mowing the yard with a push mower up until the age of 12 and it was hard work, especially when the blades needed sharpening, which was often, because most of our grass was weeds, too. We didn't cultivate good uniform grass like we do today. I have found a place to order one, because I love the look of the yard after you use one...it doesn't compare to a gas powered or electric mower and we don't have that big of a yard so that I have thought about getting one. It sure costs more than they did back then too. It is a memory I treasure.

All the time growing up. And we lived in the country. It used to take me 2 days to cut the grass. After I moved out my parents bought a riding lawn mower..go figure!
