I am currently in the process of writing my first novel. The Novel is based on events in my life from my best friends. I am looking for other Novels, plays or stories that talk about the dynamic of true friendship. This is a coming of age novel and I'm looking for different perspectives. Any suggestions

I recommend Looking for Alaska by John Green. It is a great coming of age book, one of the best I've ever read, and it portrays a great friendship among a group of guys.

'The little prince' by Antoine de St Exupery is a short existentialist story about friendship.

Waiting to Exhale by Terry McMillan. It's mostly a womans' book , but it is one of my favourites.
