No. At 3 months old the memory of a child is very short and in fact at that age the child just started to recognize his 'significant others'. However you can help the child to keep knowing his daddy by showing him his pictures. Place a picture in your house where a child can see it everyday. Showing the father's video often will also help. Make the home environment to feel as if the child is not so far from his daddy. Your main aim here is keeping your child oriented with his father. Though the child won't remember his father, it will leave some picture in his mind which will make quick recognition of his daddy when he meets him later. Good day!♥

yes babys know who the parents are by reconzing a voice that he heard in side your belly. just show him pics all the time and talk to your baby about the daddy and if you get a chance to talk to him on the phone put the phone up to the babys ear and let the baby listen to the daddys voice. and when he comes home from the military he will not be a stranger to the baby

Hun you have alot to be proud of... your child does to. Remember this. I am the daughter of a army daddy... they way my family made sure that i remember my father was to talk about him show me pictures. it is very true right now babies don't nessasary have a memory of people, but they remember how it feels to be held by mom the sounds of her voice so on and so forth... your child will remember. it is his/her father there is a connection there, something we can't explain or show but it is there. keep you head high love the baby with all you might and talk about 'daddy' all the time.

Yes. Really at that age kids don't "remember" anyone. I always thought it was amazing that kids always knew--no matter how much time spent apart who was family. My husband is also in the military and didn't get to be there for the majority of my pregnancy, the birth, or the first four months. My son knew who he was when his dad came home--they are instant buddies now. Babies truly are amazing. I'm sure he'll know who is dad is no matter how long or how much time you guys spend apart.

As long as you give your baby something to remember his daddy with. Talk about him, show him pictures or videos. If your son sees how much you love and care for this man by your adoration and support, then he'll do that too.

sadly, no. but, it wont take long for them to get close.
we are military also. my 3 year old wasnt sure about my husband when he came back on leave after being gone for 6 months, even with watching videos and looking at pics, but it only took a couple of minutes and they were best buds again. dont worry, they will connect in no time and it will be almost as if no time has passed.
