There's tons of history in Boston (Bunker hill Monument, Bunker Hill cemetary, Paul Revere's house, Old North Church, Old Ironsides, Fanuel Hall and Quincy Market... etc) but you also should check out the historic places in the suburbs of Boston. Things in Lexington and Concord like the Lexington Battle Green, Walden Pond, The Emerson house and the Old North Bridge. The towns are much less crowded and very quaint... there's an endless number of things to do and see, historically.

If you want culture there are lots of museums in Boston like the Izabella Stuart Gardner Museum, MIT Museum, The Fogg Museum at Harvard, The Peabody Essex Mueum, the Harvard Museum of Natural History, The Science museum and Boston Museum of Fine Art.

If you're a shop-a-holic, there are tons of shops in Fanuel Hall and for more chic boutiques try Newbury Street.

If you are looking to get a feel for Boston life socially, go to the theater district and catch a show, go to Allston to see a live band in one of the rock clubs or go to Landsowne Street and go to a dance club. There are pubs and clubs on every street and where there are colleges, there are parties... so ask around and you'll be able to party for days on end if you talk to the right people.

Just depends on what you are looking for.... but no matter what it is you want to see.... we have it here in Boston.

There's tons to see. Lots of history- you can walk the Freedom Trail and see things like Paul Revere's house, the Old North Church, etc. You can tour Fenway Park. Taking a Duck Tour is a great way to see the city. Go to Fanueil Hall, the North End, the Public Gardens, see a show in the theater district. . . .You can basically walk around the entire city, and there's enough to do to keep you busy for days!

Boston is the best pedestrian city I've ever seen. You can walk the trail of Paul Revere, see the North Church, go to the North End for wonderful food, use a marvelous subway system, check out Nathaniel Hall, the harbor, etc. It gets very cold in the wintertime--too cold to be walking around much.
