at least 3 cats are urinating in our front yard. tried Silent Roar, does not work - do not want to spend lots of money on this, and killing a cat is not an option. But living with it is also not an option here.

Bring them in, clean them up, take them to the vet for neutering and make them your own inside only house cats.

Or if they will not tame, take them to a NO KILL shelter.

Any of the violence advocating answers are totally wrong.

Where I live, moles are the BIG problem. Those things dig up your yard, leave new and different piles of dirt all over the yard, spread weeds, and for the past month or so have been undermining the walkway to the back door! And guess what? It is against the law to trap them!

I cannot understand why some people have such hate filled things about cats. Please just chill out....there are more important things to get all p.i.s.s.y about. If you feel the need to get all p.i.s.s.y join the fray over in the religion or politics or culture sections in Answers.

You do have a problem and the only thing I can think of would be to lay down chicken wire if they seem to be using the same area.Secure it down with heavy rocks.Cats and squirrels do not like the feel of wire when digging. And if you have any spicy spices you could sprinkle that around also but you would need to reapply every time it rained.Hopefully they would go to neighbours yard where it is easier.

Buy a bottle of amonia and pour it where you don't want the cat to be it works well for all animals. You may have to repeat after a rain... But if you keep doing it the cat will eventually stop comin' round'...

Call the humane society and they can give you cages that will catch these nuisance cats alive. Other than that your options are to find a dog.

Well you could get a dog but they can be a nuisance with all the barking too.
I know that milk with few aspirin kills cats when they drink it, just a tip if you get desperate and need it.

Motion sensor sprinkler system. Cats come into the yard, their motion activates the sprinkler system, they get sprinkled with water. Most cats hate getting wet.

Get yourself a cage trap at Harbor Freight tools, and begin a "catch and release" relocation program. Take them to the local pound.

Cats roam the neighborhood. Short of getting a dog, not much you can do.

get a water gun and fill it with amonia & water. Spray the cat in the eyes.

Or go the better route. Put some rat poison in some cat food. :)
