recently my friend nick has joined Yahoo but has also found out that he cant give Blood as he is Gay is this right or wrong he went to a clinic to ask and they literaly laughed in his face and said you must be jocking NO i cant give Blood either as i have an inherited illness which i knew about already so when i heard what they did to him i also went and asked they also laughed in my face i think it is just wrong what do you think personally i think they should of politely said sorry but no you cant and just explain not laugh in our faces nick did not realise or no that he couldnt unlike me.

I don't believe that really happened to you. When you go to a clinic there are procedures to indicate that you should or shouldn't give blood. It is confidential.

Right or Wrong for laughing is a matter of etiquette. It should be common knowledge amount homosexuals that they can't be blood donors just like you know that you can't because of your bloodborne illness so there was some comeedy in him asking. whether is right or wrong to deny someone permissions to donate blood based on sexual preference, it's right. The Blood bank assesses that risk and makes a determination.

they wouldnt have even known he was gay unless some one opened there mouth and told them. those people wouldnt have laguhed at you 2 because they are out there to do good and help people out in the long run. you should have more respect for them and yourselves and not be spreding lies about them.

I know that they make a good decision not to accept your blood as it is in high risk of HIV.but that people were just mother F...s.DONT BOTHER YOURSELF there lots of a..holes in that planet.

no they shouldn't have laugh. but i don't think they allow gay males because they are most likey to be carrying AIDS, so thats y i think they said no.
