I have found that to get rid of most/all crawling/flying insects I just make sure all the windows and doors are shut to that room and give it a heavy spray of fly killer - shut the door and leave it 'sealed' for at least an hour - then give the room a good airing.
However your problem is probably more due to the fact that these insects layed their eggs at a previous time in the year, the conditions in that room obviously weren't conducive to the eggs hatching - but now we are coming into the season of central heating and various forms of heating the temperature in the rooms/flat has improved and the eggs are hatching.... see if you can identify which particular room you seem to have more of them in - that's probably where the eggs have been laid and remained dormant. Maybe you bought a secondhand piece of furniture or carpet or rug?.... they could be another possibility too. If the problem seems to be with a rug or smallish piece of furniture then the spray answer is similar - except you wrap the article in plastic and seal with tape - say bin bags - and leave them like this for a day or two - should solve your problem then.

When we had a similar problem, it turned out to be pantry moths, which are in tons of food products - especially grains, birdseed, pet food, but we store everything in mason jars and they could even crawl up the threads and contaminate dried fruits, beans, etc. I had to empty out the entire pantry and store things in the freezer for a long time. They make pantry moth traps which are little sticky cardboard contraptions with an enclosed pheromone pad that you attach. These are very inexpensive. If you set one up and it works, you know what kind of moth you have.
Good luck!

well first get a really big box , a broom stick and a piece of string. put the box upside down out on the street, put the broom stick under one end to hold it up and tie the string to the stick.take off all your cothes and put them in under the box and leave all your windows and doors open.wait naked, and soon all the moths will be attracted to the clothes in the box. simply pull the string.

It is a misconception that moths eat clothing. It is the Moth larva that eats your clothes. So set the moths free!!!!!!

I believe the best way is to try to sell the whole way by making some alternate arrangements like giving it to the shopkeeper who is engaged in this kind of activity and try to get some profit as this might not get u th e profit u like as this stock seems to be old the way u speak. So GOOD LUCK.

go to a local wood yard and ask for off cuts of CEDAR wood take them home place them in wardrobes and all around the house
make sure you rub them with sandpaper once per week to ensure the cedar continues to smell. Dont leave any dirty clothes around as they love clothing that has been worn and contains skin!! (Yeuch!)
