Sit ups and crunches will give you muscle, but that won't do you any good if the good muscle is hidden underneath a layer of fat!! You must do cardiovascular exercises to get rid of fat.
The best i know of (they worked for me) are
1. Rebounding (jumping on a small trampoline)
2. Jumping rope

Both of these can be done for short periods of time during any day (rain or shine). The key is to get the heart rate going for long periods throughout the day. It is better to do 3 intense 10min sessions then one moderate 30min session.

Good luck;)

Situps and crunches until you're sore!

Reduce the sugar and fat intake that you eat and do as many crunches you can stand, several times per day.

Crunches are like situps, but you're on your back and you slowly pull your knees up to your elbows, then go back down.

My wive says that yoga is great way of losing the weight and relaxing. I believe she does bickram yoga, she says it is a bit more intense but very much worth the effort.
