not before 1 year old. and you only have to sterilize the bottles before you use them for the first time, after that just wash them in hot soapy water.

Babies can have full fat milk on their cereals from the age of 6 months, you can also use this milk when making meals for them. But wait until after a year to give as a drink as it is low in iron!

Considering I just put my daughter on whole milk at one year, the public health nurses and the pediatrician and GP all told me anytime from about 9 months upwards. As long as the baby does not have a reaction to it, its fine. Its important that it is whole milk not skimmed, 2% or whatever, since babies and toddlers need a specific amount of fat content in their diet for proper growth and development, and the easiest way is via milk.

Usually about 1 year it is suppose to be whole milk. It just depends on your child. I waited until she was 1 1/2, because i switch her from formula, to milk, and took the bottle away and gave a cup. It made it less stressful on the both of us. this way it was time for her to grow up- and i had a reason to cut off the bottle early. But check with your phyiscan, sometimes if your baby is advanced you can make the move sooner. :)

Hi you can start to transfer the baby over to cows milk at 6mons. In there formula start out with 1 oz of cows milk to 7 oz of formula. When you see that it doesn't upset there stomach usually about a week or two then up the cows milk to 2oz and 6 oz of formula. Keep on up grading the cows milk ever 2 weeks till you reach 8 oz of cows milk and no formula. The doctors say at age 12 mons. is when they can go on full cows milk but i found that if you just stop the formula and start the milk there tiny stomachs can't adjust to it and they spit it up alot. So small slow steps starting at 6 mons. working up to they are 12 mons. works the best. I have 2 children and did it this way with both of them and they were completely fine with it.

For drinking, they can have it from 12 months, but it can be used in cooking from 6 months and on their cereal from 9 months. Full fat only until they are 2 years.

Whole milk is now recommended at the age of at least 12 months, they need the fat content until then breastmilk/formula has the nutrients they need. It is recommended to wait to decrease chances of allergic reaction/intolerance as they're stomachs may not be able to break it down properly.

They say at 12 months is the right age but with my experience with both of my children I tried them on cows milk both at 12 months and they both had bad reactions so I waited until 18months and they were both fine.
