I used to have an ugly mongrel called Bunty. But your mate is going for the hall of fame. I've heard of people calling dogs Brian and other inane names. Maybe your mate has a penis fixation and is a bender?

A friend of a friend thought she'd name her cat after the cannabis plant (cannabis sativa), but mixed it up and called the cat Sevita!

A dog which lost all its legs and got called Cigarette coz he had to be taken out for a drag! (Just kidding!)

A black labrador called Ripper and a rottweiler called Rosie.

2 goldfish called Chas & Dave.

My hamster was called Squirrel because of the way he ate, that was a pretty silly name! Oh and a friends cat was called Horse, as apparently thats a character from a comic book in the Netherlands (I think!)

When we were younger my sister had a fish called "10 pence mix" - she named it after a bag of sweets our local news agents used to sell for 10p. He other goldfish was called "Daddy" - I don't think she had quite grasped the concept of naming animals at the time though, she was only 4!

Disney. It sounds so stupid. Obviously a name picked because they like Disneyland, and they thought it was some unique shortening, but whenver I hear these people say "Disney! Stop digging up the garden! Oh, Disney, you crapped in the kitchen!" etc

A bloke down the road called his dog N*gger, yes he did get beat up a couple of times, until he learned not to shout it in public.
