I have read the same old book which I have been reading for last three four years and ya this is definitely my all time favourite. The book is "SAY YOU LOVE ME" by Trisha Alexander. This is a book which I read, whenever I am feeling upset and it changes my mood after a few minutes.

Tough one. Life of Pi and Mystic River are two that I read this year, and both were incredible. They're gripping tales that suck you in and keep you invested in the characters. Life of Pi seemed unrealaistic at first, but then I stopped caring, and just followed the story. The ending was amazing, and I did not see it coming. I had seen the movie Mystic River, so I knew the ending, but I really enjoyed the story, anyways. I don't have an all time favorite book. I either love a book, and think it's the best ever or i don't care for it too much. One of my favorites is Persuasion, by Jane Auston. It's like comfort food. I reread it pretty often. Another is the poetry of Enda St Vincent Millet.

I have read some great books this year. I've discovered some new-to-me authors like Joan Bauer and Carolyn Meyer. And I've read plenty of 2006 titles. For the 2006 titles, I'd have to say that New Moon, Blue Bloods, Hit The Road, and I'd Say I Love You But Then I'd Have To Kill You are some great YA titles. Bread and Roses, Too and Singing Hands are two historical fiction titles that I really loved. And Here There Be Dragons is a great fantasy book! I've read too many to choose.

This year I discovered John Irving, who wrote The world according to Garp, and Ciderhouse Rules which were made into movies. Those two weren't my favourites however, "A prayer for Owen Meany" was the reason I checked out the rest of his stuff, it's fantastic. I also enjoyed The memory keepers daughter by Kim Edwards. There was a huge wait list at the library, it seems to be a popular read this year, and it is exceptionally good for a first novel.

The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. One of the most beautifully written books I have ever read. Heart wrenching and warming. Some harrowing content. I couldn't put it down literally and got so wrapped up with the characters I cried like a baby at times. I'll definitely read it again but maybe next year after I've recovered. Has inspired me to get into kiting again also.

I would have to say that A Great and Terrible Beauty and the follow up Rebel Angels have been the best book I have read all year. They have become my all time favorite books (so far). The mystery, the enchantment, and the friendship. So very good.

I loved "Blind Beauty" by K. M. Peyton. It's so wonderful Definately in my Top 10. (Here's the blurb)- Tessa has an impossible dream: to ride her great-hearted horse, Buffoon, in the Grand National. But who will support her plan to become a jockey? She's been repeatedly kicked out of boarding school, and her rich stepfather hates her. And could the sometimes clumsy, nearly blind Buffoon ever be expected to survive such a difficult racecourse?

Tessa pursues her dream across troubled teenage years while growing in responsibility, self-respect, and understanding. A magnificent steeplechase, thrillingly evoked, caps this vivid, romantic, fast-paced novel by a writer who is the undisputed master of exploring the bonds between horses and people.
