I am taking 200MG Progesterone pills daily due to low levels early in pregnancy. I am 8 weeks pregnant and my doctor wants me to stop them at 12 weeks. I am terrified I will miscarry when I stop the treatment, has anyone else had to do this during pregnancy..Thanks :)

Don't worry.I also had the pills when i was pregnant with my first child for my first trimester after that i stopped it with the advice of the doctor,progesterone is really to help the placenta grow thro which the baby gets nourishment and everything.After 12 weeks , our body takes care of everything.GOOD LUCK on ur pregnancy

Also at the 12th week mark- your chances for miscarriage decress dramatically... don't worry about it =) Good luck.

every one who takes them has to stop them then, if you werent taking them your body would stop producing so much progesterone then ;and to continue taking them could cause just as much harm
