Get a book on Latin grammar in order to improve your general knowledge of how English works. Specifically study prefixes, roots and suffixes.

What I do with my boyfriend (who is East European) is rent English movies and always watch them with the English sub titles on, that way he can hear the pronunciation as well as see the spelling. Any words he doesn't know he pauses, writes them down, and then after the movie is finished, checks the meaning in his English to Hungarian dictionary.
He then goes over all the words, until he understands the meanings, and then watches the movie again, with his notes.
It takes him almost a week to watch a movie, do the words and them watch it again, but he finds that is working for him.
Also make at least one English friend, who cant speak you're language, that way you are forced to speak English.
And be patient, it can take years to learn to speak English fluently. So don't feel bad if you don't succeed after a couple of months.

Not at all...! It is very simple. A decade ago to learn English, you had to attend costly English classes or purchase course material like tapes and books. Now you can learn English for free from the comfort of your home using the Internet. The BBC and the British Council offer a number of on line courses, which teach written and spoken English. You can also improve your English by watching television programs and reading English newspapers. For more information, visit http://tinyurl.com/qnzpt

Which ever way works for you is your right way; but many people use CDs or cassette tapes and books to learn another language. It is sad that many agree that English is one of the more difficult languages to learn because it uses words that are from other languages and so they are not pronounced like English words. Also, there are some rules to follow, but at the same time each rule has exceptions and many words are pronounced differently depending on which part of the US one may be and many people use slang and special phrases, like "It's raining cats and dogs" but it really means that it's raining hard

The best way to learn a language is to find a book, article or something you're interested in and read it out loud to yourself. You don't need to look up any words.
If you read every day, out loud, for two weeks, you will already see an improvement.

When learning a language, you should not think of it as another language.
Do not try to compare English with your own language.
Instead, think of English words as new words, and think of the grammar as a new way to say what you would have said in your own language.

Try websites for ESOL [English speakers of other Languages]. Many of these have worksheet/quizzes that you can do. Others have audio so you can hear and repeat the words, phrases, and sentences.
English is hard because we have many words that sound alike, but have different meanings. For example NO and KNOW. NO means do not do that/you are not permitted to do something, etc. No, you may not go to the store.
KNOW means that you understand something. I know how to speak English.

English is a very irregular language. But take heart ( that is, do not feel discouraged).Read an English newspaper. Listen to English news. Most importantly , practise speaking. Do not worry too much about grammar. Bad English is an international language.

I had a hard time learning english. Try to find someone who speaks english and try to have a conversation with them. Also read books. That would help you learn new words and learn how they are spelled. You're doing a great job by going around english websites. That improves your grammar. It's hard, but if you REALLY want to learn, you will learn.

When first learning Deutsch, I used the site below for a lot of help translating...just type it in your language, than go to the little selection thing and select "_____ to English" and click enter. It should do a pretty good job translating for you.

&& I picked up my basic English to German dictionary. Try those!

We can't speak. We do not speak proper English. We have to many slang words. It is even harder to spell those words.
Try to go online and see if you can buy a DVD or computer program that can help you.
Good luck.
