I would start out with your family doctor. He can eliminate some causes for you then refer you to a specialist if you need one.

Tension, stress and anxiety attacks can cause your whole body to tighten up and feel hard as a rock, hurt, burn and even spasm. No, you are NOT dying, even though having a severe panic attack can make you feel like you're going to die. Try to do some slow, easy stretches by lifting and rolling your shoulders backwards in a circular motion, then forward. Roll your neck gently from side to side and bend forward at waist letting your arms hang down loosely in front of you for the count of 10 then slowly come back up. These are a few exercises my wife does for her tension/stress/anxiety. It will help to loosen you up a bit and help to begin to relax those muscles. It sounds like your headaches are also caused from tension and tight muscles in the neck and shoulder area. Do these and other slow stretches daily, stop focusing so much on the bad & negative and find a way to count your blessings every day. It sounds cliche but trust me, it does help. There are some really good "tension headache" medications out now that you can buy over the counter and they really do help. Good luck to you and I hope you feel better soon.

See your family physican for the anxiety. Try chiropractic for the neck tension and maybe get a massage. I have chronic neck tension and that works for me.

If you KNOW it is from anxiety you should tell him so directly, in which case he will give you a muscle relaxant and some mild anxiolitics to see if it can be resolved in that way

I would say your GP/family doctor. He could evaluate you better than someone--sight unseen. It could be more than "simple", He could then refer you to someone appropiate. Or he may be able to give you a few simple instructions of exercises to help. Good luck

a CHIROPRACTOR would be my guess, BUT if you have a general practicioner that you visit for things such as the flu & so on then you should first visit that doctor then he/she may recommend a doctor for you to visit for your neck tesion.
