It depends on how good or bad the vocalist is on the song in a certain language. I listen to J Pop (japanese) and i find some artists terrible. And some very good. It all depends on what taste you have for both the vocalist and the music itself.
Now if its a fear that you get teased at because you listen to music of another language such as Arabic. Just dont let them affect you. If you love the music then just keep listening on.
I, on the other hand dont prefer arabic because i prefer tunes in the house and trance variety. And the usual tunes i pick up in other languages from this are either mostly spanish, german, french, italian, and some other european countries. Oh, and of course as I said. I do like some occasional J Pop.

Well I listen to english music and first language is French, does that count?
I also have an album in German and one in Greek. I love them both, but as one of the things that matter the most to me in music are the lyrics, I find myself a little disappointed when I don't understand a thing.

Only in the days when I used to watch the Eurovision Song Contest, only it is good to listen to other languages being sung, it's just difficult to understand some of the English lyrics at times

When I was studying the Spanish language, I used to listen to Spanish music (including English speakers singing in Spanish, e.g., Sting, if I'm remembering correctly). Now I'm trying to teach myself basic Italian and you just gave me a good idea - look for some Italian music. Thanks!

No, one of my favourites ( Chrissie Hynde ) occasionally sings in Spanish. I loose the point, music is also about a story, so if you sing in Spanish its all doubledutch to me !
