I know raspberry leaf tea does, maybe cranberrry has the same effect. Also a hot curry, bumpy car ride and sex are all supposed to work. What the hell, make an evening of it and do them all!

If it did, the Ocean Spray Cranberry folks would have certainly jumped on the bandwagon and we'd have commercials for that on every five minutes. They wouldn't be able to keep cranberry anything on the shelves at the store. No- unfortunately the keeper of the official birthday date isn't convinced to come by any tea, bumpy roads, sex, or any of the other billions of ways anxious mothers have tried through the ages. And anything you get to make the contractions come that does work isn't pleasant, trust me. You don't want to go there. So drink your tea if you want, but don't count on it starting anything before it's time.

Not sure about Cranberry tea, but Raspberry Leaf tea is the well-known one that is supposed to make labour quicker and easier. You're not supposed to drink it until about 32 weeks gestation though. Good Luck!!!

Raspberry leaf tea tones your uterus but it does NOT make you have contractions, despite popular opinion. It is better to go into labor already having a toned uterus, so it is a good thing to take through your pregnancy. It will not make you have contractions. Cranberry tea will not affect your uterus at all.

it's not cranberry tea== like the person above stated it's red raspberry leaf tea.. and it's awesome for your uterus =) FRom past experiences though-- you can try 3423423423 different ways to induce labor and start contractions-- but until the baby is really ready-- it's not going to come... =) good luck =)

I haven't heard of such a thing but I do know that stormy weather or a rainy day puts women into labor. Cranberry juice is used for infections of the urinary track and the doctor told me to drink plenty of it when I was pregnant because I got alot of infections when I was pregnant. It never put me into labor and I think if it would of he would of never told me to drink it. So I say No it doesn't put you into labor and it must be an old wives tale.
