Take a look at this site:
http://www.gamehippo.com/cat/2-6_1.shtml
It has a selection of downloadable point and click games that might interest you.
Or take a look at this:
http://www.justadventure.com/thejave/html/JAVEindex_castle.shtml
This gives a very large selection of action/adventure games on the market.
I would recommend the Broken Sword series though (there is four games, all very good). After the MI series, they would be the next set of games I would choose.

No more Monkey Island or Simon the Sorcerer.
Have you played Broken Sword? The third game, Angel of Death is just out. Note the graphics card requirements, though.

Adventure games have kind of died out recently, with the only real option today being Broken Sword: Angel of Death, the fourth game in the series. The last good one before that was Grim Fandango from Lucasart.

If you have a Nintendo DS, there's a little game called Another Code (or Trace Memory in the US) that's very reminiscent of the old point-and-click adventures.

I had one when I got my first coomodore 64, I think it was the Hobbit or something. I was very addicted to it and stayed up for hours doing it. I wish there were more of them like that.
