I'm already dabbling with AdWords and have a link exchange program going but I'm lacking a little inspiration at the moment.

Link exchanges are worthless. You need one way links. Write valuble content so people will want to give you inbound links.

Write a press release and submit it to www.prweb.com
Answer relevant questions in Yahoo! Answers
Create a Myspace page and make friends with people who might be interested in your site
Start an Ebay store
Visit Allan Gardyne's AssociatePrograms.com website and download his ebook called 77 Ways To Get Traffic nearly all FREE
Etc.
There are many, many ways to getting cheap traffic. Do a few of them as well as you can and see if they work for your site. If they do, do it some more, otherwise do something else. Whatever you do, do it with zeal...
