I have the same problem with my toilet. I,m thinking it is a plugged air vent that is sticking through the roof. Its like taking a gallon jug and pouring it out to fast where it goes glug glug glug. If you were to poke a hole in the bottom of the jug it would pour out smoothly without the glug glug glug because it would not be creating a vacuum as the liquid pours out. Unfortunately I just had surgery and cant yet climb up on the roof to check it out but you can check yours. Take a flashlight up there and look down in the vent and maybe there is something plugging it up.

The presure in the pipes builds & the vent holes are too small & the force of air is squeezed & echos through the pipes to sound that way.

It sometimes happens to me too. Basically you have air in your pipes. You don't need a plumber, the air will EVENTUALLY get out, and it will stop making the loud noises.
