1. clean it (make sure theres nothing wedged under it).
With some keyboards, you can actually pull the keys off (try this when cleaning).

2. Restart computer (may be a software problem).

3. If it still doesnt work AND the tab key can be pulled off, try putting another key in its place and see if it works, or maybe u can use tab without the actual tab key (a peiece of wire may help).

4. Buy a new keyboard.

hope this helps...

Keys get dirty and gummy at times. All that is required is that you pop off the tab key and clean it, then just pop it back on. This happens especially if food or a drink may have been inadvertently on your fingers or spilled in the keys.

This should work, if not....I suggest a new keyboard....Good luck!!!

"Just use the space bar"? Obviously the first answerer has no idea what the tab key is for...

The simple solution is get a new keyboard - they cost pennies.

Usually if one key is not working, it is a bad keyboard. You can try cleaning under the key with a can of compressed air and a q-tip with alcohal on it. If that does not work, try to carefully pop the key off and clean under it. If that fails, replace the keyboard.
