It means that you're in charge of your destiny, not chance. It means if you want to get back together with an ex that had to move to Boston, you should take a trip to Boston... not wait and hope that everything will turn out ok.

Think of your life as a flow chart, the path you follow is the destiny you create, through the choices you make.

You make choices every day of your life:

Shall I get out of bed now? What shall I wear? What shall I have for breakfast? Shall I walk or take the bus?

If you rise later or earlier you will be in different places at different times and different meetings may occur.

If you are early, your boss may be impressed and that could lead to a rise and a promotion.

If you stay in bed - the reverse could happen - you miss the bus, you are late to work and you get fired.

Your choices form your destiny.

every individual has its own destiny, some people let the time goes by and dont mind the future ahead of them, some believe if they will be rich not doin any effort its their destiny to be rich. some says destiny is a matter of chance, some says its a matter of choice, but for me destiny is both matter of chance and choice. i do believe and it happens to me, matter of chance-it never comes to my mind that i would be able to built a house cuz i dont knew where i can get money, fortunately all my deals prospered, i call this destiny by chance. destiny by choice-marrying man which i choose, and im sorry and dismayed by choosing the man.,if only i let my destiny maybe im now happy with the man i never choose.

It means everyone is responsible for his or her own future. Means there is free will in choosing the present to have a better future. Means free will allow us to decide what we want to do and decide the best option.
Means destiny is todays work.

basically, it is saying that our destiny is more determined by our choices and will, and not so much random coincidences.

it places our choices over the random chances of things happening.

examples are kind of open-ended. just concentrate on a person's choice over random occurences.

Essentially it's stating that we make personal choices that form our own destinies. I choose to get an education or I choose to be a criminal.... It doesn't "just happen".... I wasn't destined to become a criminal, I chose to be one.
