The highest temperature ever recorded in Antarctica was 14.6°C (58.28°F) at Hope Bay and New Zealand's Vanda Station on January 5, 1974.

The lowest temperature ever recorded on Earth was -89.2°C (-128.56°F) at Russia's Vostok Station on July 21, 1983.

The highest is not as clear. The temperature at Vanda is porbably the most reliable measurement.

Of course these are measurements. There are places such as Dome A which may get colder but no one has done enoguh measurements to know.
