My mother did not list my father on my birth certificate. She passed on when I was 11 and I had no quelms about not knowing my father. Now....It is just eating at me. I believe he passed away as well but don't really know anything. None of my family talk about him and have no answers when I have asked about him. What can I do?

They honestly may not know exactally who he is, and he may not know that you even exist. I don't mean to discourage you, but that may be why they have no answers for you. I suppose they could be embarrassed if they know him and he's a loser, but to be honest --- he didn't raise you, he was more of a donor, instead, be thankful for the family you have.

Someone must know something. I guess you'll need to go thru all the family members to get some kind of information. A name should have come up over the years. Maybe you can run a newspaper ad?

Sorry to hear that, perhaps you can search certain websites only thing is Most of them require payment and you are not sure that you are getting the correct info. Depending on your age, you can hire a detective someone who deals with this type of stuff and do it that way (It takes Money and Time)

Best of Wishes!!!!!

If they were married you should be able to go down to the vital statics office where they were married that should tell you who your father is, unless they weren't married or she was married more then once.
