I'm 36 and have never cheated on my husband. If a millionaire hunk walked up to me and asked for one night and he'd give me a million dollars I'd tell him to get lost. There are some out there that don't cheat!!

I don't say you are right or wrong. It is a very personal issue for each person. I am personally of the old school and argree with marriage. What I do not agree with is getting married and then ending marriages far too easily. Younger people do not seem to want to try harder in keeping the family together. At the first sign of problems it seems that divorce is the solution. I honstly think that more attepmt should be made at keeping the marriage together and shielding children from divorce, split familys, news step parents and half siblings, and of course pain and hurt. So all of you out there, think carefully before you enter into marriage and think even more carefully before ending it.

Your arguments are not valid! How would you ever learn to be responsible without being married as a man? Sure you can get any women to sleep with you anywhere and anytime, and can throw them out when you no longer feel attracted to them. How would you feel today if that's exactly what your dad did to your mom? Men that do that are not worth living in the society of humans because they cause alot of pains. Marriage is intended to avoid such lasciviousness, and preserve the joy and peace in the human society. That's what makes us different from animals. Humans are supposed to be highly developed than other animals and any human that prefers the animals' way of life (having sex with just anybody) should be kept in a zoo. Just because it's possible you get into a wrong marriage doesn't make marriage pointless. Try look for the right one and you forever be glad you did.
Every society favors marriage because of the morals it instils in adults that can never be acquired without marriage. You learn endurance, responsibility, and faithfulness in marriage. Get thyself up and be married!

Like someone else said, I would only get married for the Financial benefits. Other wise, me personally, I would go with the Common Law way, that way, if it ends, that's it. None of this Divorce crap we here about today with the other person getting 50 percent of what you have earned.
Forget Religion too, who actually gets married just because that what their religion dictates. Go to hell just because you have sex before marriage, that's even more B.S than what comes out of Bush's Mouth.
I agree with you, came close to getting married myself, and thank God I didn't. My best friend is getting married next summer, and he's gone all Gay. Now he listens to girly music, and all he talks about is being married.

Been hurt before or what? I want to get married because, and this is going to make you vomit I know, I am willing to spend the rest of my life with one person and one person only whom I know is willing to do the same for me. It's just one more step to make us an "official" couple I guess.....for you its a "no way out" situation I guess.....

There are some people that are committed like one person previously said.
Marriage also has combined income benefits as well as medical benefits from a spouse's employment.

Why would I care whether or not you get married?
Should I eat dessert after dinner? Maybe? Cheesecake or icecream? What type of dressing do I want on my salad? Do you care? Of course you dont.
Dont look for reinforcement because you are insecure about being your age and not being married.
