There is nothing wrong in wearing Nike or Adidas etc, all brand name products. Everyone has a liking for some brand or anything like that. And you know a lot of muslims (including me) do not even knew the history of the name or what it means. Look shirk is when you give something or someone God like abilities and worship them that way. So if you are worshiping Nike to the point where you believe that Nike will grant you everything and fulfil all your wishes, it is shirk. But if you just wear Nike because you love only this brand and believe this brand has the best products, that is not shirk. Even in Quran Allah has said in Surah Imran, that women, children, wealth and branded horses (if you look at this time, cars, clothes etc could be meant over here) are all things that Allah has given to us and we will desire. So it is only natural for us to like a brand. As long as it does not rule our lives, its ok.
