I am a marathon runner with a sporty, hour-glass figure. I have C cup chest, medium sized upper arms, and a small waist. I am 5'4", however I will probably add 3" heels making me 5'7". Would a halter wedding dress look good on me? If not, what do you think would look best?

Hourglass Shape:

Description: You are short or tall. You have a curvy frame. You have a medium to large bust. You have a small waist (smaller than your shoulders and hips). You have naturally curvy hips. You have a rounded bottom.
Ideal Choices: Sheath; A-line; Ball gown
Suggestions: Show off your curvy figure with a form-fitting sheath dress. Be it plain or embellished, this type of dress will accentuate your body in all the right places. A little hipper than desired? Choose an A-line or ball gown, to cover your wider parts and draw attention upward. To achieve this try a strapless bodice ball gown with a full skirt and a cinched waist. Keep eyes above the waist with an embellished neckline.

The website also has other body shapes listed on here...check it out!! Hope this helps =)

You can wear any neckline you want as long as the bottom of the dress is the right one for your body type.
Halter dresses accentuate your bust line and shoulders, so they might make you look unbalanced. If you want that style, then pair it with an A-line or trumpet/mermaid skirt to even your shape back out. But don't go as wide as a ballgown, the top is too delicate for that. You'll also have to avoid empire waists, they will make you look top heavy, and won't show off your great curves to the best advantage. Maybe try a dropped or basque waistline to show off your shape.
The key is going to be flattering your shape under the neckline so that all the attention on the top doesn't throw your figure off. The focus needs to be evenly spaced from your toes to your neck.

Just a few halter gowns that could work well for you:

sounds like you've got a gorgeous figure. only personal reccommendation i would give it that i'm slim with a c - d cup and find that halters make me look all about the boobs. some people love that but i find it a bit page 3! nots something i'd go for on my wedding day! it depends on the cuts etc anyway and by all accounts when you find the right dress you just know (apparently more than when you find the right guy!) i would just go and play in as many wedding dress shops as you can, take your girlfriends, gay best friend and mum. you'll soon work out what you want.

Anyway, you're the bride, you'll be beautiful!

As you are sporty I'm guessing that your shoulders look nice a strong. I think halter necks only suit you if you have good shoulders and have something' up top'.

So go for it! Have a lovely wedding whatever u choose!

i could positioned on strappy pink. till you like the peep toe look, or prefer an rather intense heal. i think of a pink pump looks somewhat too risque. Jewel tones are nonetheless in. Any coloration could look sturdy. in case you do no longer understand the bride i could pass on the conservative edge of existence. purely because of the fact her style might desire to be conservative and a few thing like pink patent leather-based pumps might desire to get somewhat too plenty interest.
