No I don't think it is right. If she, Brad, Angie can do it , then the rest of US can do it. Those kids will not even be raised by them but instead by nanny. At least with a middle case family you know they are spending all that money so you know they will actually be raising and be in the same country. The child may not get the newest toy or whatever but that could be a good thing. I just hope someday everyone realize that material things isn't want a child needs.

NO NO NO. I think that it is absolutely unfair that celebrities get hat they want when they want it. Lets get serious for a second, adopting children for celebrities its what 'in' right now. What about in 10 years when its no longer cool to have an adopted child from another country. What about all the parent's who arent celebrities and are wonderful loving people, who have been waiting for years to be chosen as parents? I have real issues with celebrities, yes maybe I am a bit of a hypocrite as I enjoy a good movie, but do they really deserve 20 million dollars for making a movie three months work? please, what about the doctors and nurses who save lives everyday? what about adopting the poor, hungry children in our own country? Why do we have to be defined by our bank accounts and status? I have worked hard all my life and I certainly dont get any favors. Why are celebrities so much better than everyone else? I would rather idolize someone i can see or talk to a real person --not a poster or picture in a magazine.

NO.....I don't think celebs should be able to use their status to bypass adoption rules....or any other rules that really matter. (I couldn't care less if a restaurant let's them in the moment they spot them, even tho it wouldn't be fair to the other people who are waiting in line for a long time already. I'm just trying to say something like that would be too trivial for me to get worked up about)
Money talks, you're right, but it can't tell if you will be good to the child.....after all, a child needs more than a lot of material stuff and maybe a lot of nanny's.
For that reason alone already I think celebs should have to go through the same procedures that "average" people have to go through....and after they've passed those assesments (sp?) with flying colors, they STILL should have to wait their turn....just like all of us.
P.s. : I've just seen an answer that had the line "....and all for status" in it.
I respectfully disagree with that.....I don't think we can assume that, when celebs want to adopt a child, they do it just for getting good publicity.....they're human, just like us, and may have the same respectable reasons to want to adopt a child as most of us have.
I think you can't assume (as I've seen people do on other lists) either that the celeb or someone of their entourage leaked to the press about what they were going to do.
A celeb who's "IN" at the time, doesn't HAVE to tell the press where they're going, the press will know or find out, just by following them.
I think a "hot" celeb will have more trouble STOPPING the press from finding out where he/she is going.

My question is, when did the US run out of kids to adopt? I mean I can understand people adopting from other countries to give the kids a better life, but what about all the kids that are here? Are they not poor enough to be adopted by a celebrity? Celebrities should not be able to use their money 2basically "buy" a child. They are also whining about protecting their privacy and paparazzi always following them, snapping pictures, and them (celebs) wanting to be treated like a regular person. Well, if you want to be treated like a regular person, don't use your celebrity status to get what you want.

No. Being rich and famous does not make them better parents. They should jump through all the same hoops as everyone else. And be monitored with the same probation time as anyone else.
I have some friends who have adopted from Korea twice and it was an expensive, gut wrenching time for them. If they are going to make the process easier, it should be for the real people with real incomes who want children to raise and not tokens.
Sorry, that probably seems harsh.......but I don't get how this process should be any different for rich or poor.

i don't think of such status has been crowned to all human beings in this YA! although YA! all of the cases recent the 'top persons' personalities and that i wish this getting as much as date particularly cases. possibly this may be a action picture star status. added, you're able to detect a notice 'sturdy contributors' in this YA! The which ability of that may not defined, besides a itemizing of such contributors are actually not provided. So i think, in simple terms you're making an attraction on the question deleted and patiently look ahead to a passable respond from them. i'm optimistic, in the experience that your question have been to be interior the constraints of 'community policies' of YA!, you would be commemorated for airing the question in YA!

I don't think celebrities should be able to bypass the rules but then you have to look at it that some kid is going to have a wondeful home with all the priviliges of wealth and celebrity parents. Let's just hope she (and Angleina) are up to tha challenge!

What's even more confusing is how Madonna can adopt a child that still has at least one parent?? I think I would say she simply bought this child. And all for status... That's awful

They would change these rules for everyday families, if they had the financial means to back it up. It definately isn't fair but most things in life are not fair. Like you said, money talks.
