As a family of 5, very rarely! It will cost us about 100 bucks to all see a movie and get popcorn and pop. I sure can't afford that! I heard that the theaters don't make any money on ticket sales anyways. I figgure if they charged 2 bucks a ticket people could afford to buy tonnes of popcorn and pop (the big money producers for theaters) and make all of their money that way. I know that when we go to the movies, we never buy treats because the tickets were already so expensive. So we sneak a treat in. If they were to lower the ticket prices, tonnes more people would go and that would lead to more food sales and more money for the theater. It make sense to me!

I totally agree with you. The movie tickets vary depending on what neighborhood the theater is in. When I go to the inner city theaters, the tickets are 5.50 for an adult. When I go to the theaters closer to where I live, in the suburbs, the price goes up to 9.50.
I normally go to the suburban theater and pay full price. But I try to arrive early enough to see more than one movie.

the only reason to go to the movies once in a while is with your girlfriend or boyfriend, other than that just download the movies. over at walmart they have a sale 2dvd's for $20 = huh? only dumb people buy that deal.
The smart thing to do is to get a wicked *** tv tuner card for computer get a collection of movies going via file sharing, look for movies that is already dvd quality, get a dvd blank pack of 50 for $15 and invite all your friends over, split the cost of popcorn $4.00 for a 15 pack and pop 24 pack of pepsi coke or beer $6.00 and then everyone would spend less than everybody paying for themselves at a theater -- or try the the drive in. is that a good idea? i think that is the best idea that you will ever receive on this topic. i guarantee it.

Very rarely...we have not been in two years. We are a busy family, so it is nice to rent a movie and watch it at our own pace. Be able to pause it, go to the bathroom, eat whatever we want, snuggle up to each other, and watch it at a time that is convenient for us instead of trying to rush to get everyone to the theater at a particular time. Also, I know that the bathroom will always be clean, there are no creepy or funky people lurking in the bathroom, and no one to disrupt the film while we are watching it. Rental is the way to go.

I go at least once a week, sometimes at night, sometimes during the day, but I am a student and I do get a discount. I also have a popcorn shirt [$20] and a movie cup so popcorn and a drink costs me $1 each time I go.

Almost never. I wait for the DVD to come out. I did go see Joss Whedon's Serenity in September of 2005. You had to see that movie on a huge theater screen. OOPS I forgot I JUST had to see The Lord of The Rings Trilogy because you really need a very big screen to see those excellent movies.

I go at least 1-2 times a week. I don't mind paying full ticket price. If I can get to bargain matinees, I will, but it's worth it to me to see things on a big screen with a decent sound system.

"In Conclusion, I beleive that no movie should be aloud in theaters unless it is a FULL 90 minute film (and thats without the end credits)" I completely agree with that. I'm a horror movie guy and most horror movies these days are pretty short. They need to make them longer.
