To me it is not. Purely it is individual liking. Some prefer Football others like Cricket. People liking football, always term cricket to be "time-waste".
Every game has its own list of followers.

Ofcourse it is. It is neither good 4 economy nor 4 an individual. A
50 over cricket match earns the same amount of revenue as a 90 minute soccer match. But the length is necessary for maintaining the standard, popularity and speciality of the game. Let me xplain.
The original form took several days and the total score would b in the range of 250 to 500 in a standard game. We may have (at least) a century & three to four fifties in that score. The 1 day cricket must b of a length of at least 40 overs to emulate those traditional scores roughly and retain the flavor of greatness of the original games. If it were of a shorter length, Sachin might have got 200 fifties and 9 or 10 centuries. Do u really want this?

It is definitely not a time wasting game. Some may find it difficult to believe but it actually serves as some form of physical exercise particularly when batting and bolding. It is also a way to exercise the brain as bolders think about their tactics in terms of how they are going to bold and batsmen think about the bolding that will be used and what approach to take in gaining runs. Moving away from those who actually play the sport, for those who watch it, it is a form a relaxation (I will admit though that some persons do become stressed when their team is not doing well).
The pros outway the cons. In summary, cricket is not a time wasting game.

I love Cricket But this is true this cricket is more time wasting game.
Because as many time I am watching this game and every time when India play I m watching but if I think from my mind. If India work hard then they get victory. but I thing that which team do workhard then they win.
as many time I am watching Cricket in my Exams days after the end of game I lose the time of studies and I will get not good marks. and when cricket is not in my exams days then I will get good marks so it is true . Cricket is more time wasting game.

Those who are cricket lovers and those who are very much interested in the game, do not feel at all that it is a time wasting game. However, those who are not not very much interested in the game may feel that it is a waste of time.

Wait and see .... 20-20.
Saying "cricket is more time wasting game " I don't think so, It is an entertainment, there are people who takes off from work and watch the game very seriously. NOT WASTING, SPENDING MAXIMUM TIME OVER ON TV OR IN STADIUM MAY BE COMPENSATING AS AN ENTERTAINMENT, A CHANGE IN DAILY ROUTINES.

Yes in your opinion but not in many people. When your not interested in any one thing you will feel bored. So i think you are not interested in cricket. That's why you feel cricket is time wasting game.In my opinion it is not time wasting game. I like cricket very much when India is playing with Pakistan.

Cricket is a very funny game.
If the game is one - sided, it seems to be a waste
However, if the game is equally balanced, it becomes more of an entertainment.
