the smell and taste of things remain poised a long time, like souls· bearing resiliently, on tiny and almost impalpable drops of their essence, the immense edifice of memory..."

most? sense of smell. second, hearing. I can smell Old spice and feel my grand dad's presence. I can hear my dad say my grandma's name and I am back at her side in the kitchen.
