I have not had my period for the past 8 months, I have been breastfeeding my baby ever since he was born and some people say thats the reason, but im getting scared now! i dont think its normal. I am not in any type of birth control and have had sex a few times now, how do I know if im not pregnant?

It is possible it could be caused by breastfeeding but the fastest way to find out is by taking a home test for pregnancy which is a 99.9% effective if you are not sure about the results go to your doctor and explain your problem. Most likely he'll send you to take some blood tests to check the pregnancy hormone levels and that one is 100% if it's negative maybe a complete check up will be recommended. Don't forget to relax that could also be causing so much stress that you can actually stop getting your periods just by thinking that you might be pregnant. Your mind can be very powerful and be sending the wrong info to your body.
