Each doctor and each shot has its own style, I guess. Mine sometimes lets me sit or makes me stand. He asks which arm I want it in. I usually say that it doesnt matter. He then jabs me in the left arm and it hurts. I'm not gonna lie like other ppl and say that it doesnt. It hurts like hell. But mb its b/c my doctor's a bit rough. There's always a bruise around the area for a few weeks. Then again, he doesnt seem to like me. Either that or he hates my parents. They're always trying to scam him into prescribing free medicine. And, since they're uber-serious Catholics (the only kind that's really bad) and he's homosexual, it's always kinda uncomfortable in the doctor's office...

Some shots require in-the-butt treatments. Especially when it's a baby. Butts have more flesh and apparently hurt less for some scientific reason. Well, I can see why u dont wanna jab a tiny baby's arm...the needle might go through to the other side! *shudder*

Most vaccinations are given in the fleshy-est part of the body. If a child has very skinny arms, they give it in the thigh. If they have skinny legs, they give it in the upper arm.
