You have two options to choose from by getting rid of it faster and one cover-up without makeup:
-Get a frozen spoon and place it on the hickie as many times as you can atand it, this reduces the swelling in the blood vessel.
-Take a single (non-coated) aspirin, get it wet and place it directly on the skin where the hickie is located at, after it breaks down and dissolves-the more you do it the better chance you have of it to heal faster.
-Get some calomine lotion and rub it on the hickie for a cover up. It looks like you are treating a mosquito bite.
-Last and not least-next time make your partner put it in an invisible place to others.

I don't think there is any real wasy to get rid of a hickie. BUT, I have heard that if you apply pressure, starting in the center of the hickie and pressing outward, you can get rid of it. What you do is push the bruising/blood away from the spot of the hickie. Honestly, I doubt this works because a hickie is a bruise and you can't get rid of a bruise by rubbing it. Good luck.

Well I will tell you what I tell my girls...hickies should be given where the world can't see them, they are considered (F*** TRACKS) and are given usually when it's a really heated moment...if you want the world to know your busisness then keep them on the neck, but for a really intamate moment put em where the sun don't shine...(use protection also).
Now to answer your question...take a tablespoon and put it in some ice and get it really cold and hold it on the hicky till it warms up...keep doing this 4 to 5 times and this should lighten the hicky...
just remember a hicky is blood next to the skin, and its almost like a bruse, so it takes time for the skin too heal, only the body can really heal this in time...
good luck...

If the hickie is less than 24 hours put ice on it. 20 minutes on 20 minutes off. After 24 hours apply a hot water bottle A hickie is a bruise, and you should follow standard treatments for bruises.

Some one once told me to put a cold spoon on it for an hour. Put the spoon in a cup with ice and salt then hold it on the hicky....those are dreadful things! I have not had one in years!

I dont know if there is. But my grandmother used to make us put a spoon in the freezer for like 20 minutes and then put it on hickey. I dont remember if it worked or not, that was along time ago.
