I Have Personally Had An Experience With it. It's Like Getting Kicked In he Groin Only The Pain Doesn't Go Away. It Is Cause By Getting A Hard On And Not Doing Anything About it. The Blood Remains In The Muscle For To Long And Cause The 2 Friends To Swell. Henceforth Causing Tremendous Pain. Continuous Sexual Arousal Also Causes It. Here Is More: "Blue balls is a slang term for a temporary fluid congestion in the testicles and prostate region caused by prolonged sexual arousal in the human male. It is most commonly associated with adolescents but can occur in any sexually mature male. It is often accompanied by a cramp-like ache of prostatic congestion and pain/tenderness of the testes. While the term is sometimes applied to women, the female homologue is usually referred to by the more general term "pelvic congestion"."

The term doesn't mean that the man's scrotum actually turns blue. It means that it hurts down there when a man gets super aroused but then does not have a climax (he doesn't ejaculate for some reason). Example: A man can become very good at masterbating to the point where he can control his ejaculation repeatedly and for a long time. But when he does this, like overnight, his scrotum and his penis can be very sensitive and painful in the morning.
These people who have told you otherwise either are not men or they just have not put a term to a very painful and annoying part of being a man.

The actual medical term escapes me right now, but there is a condition which could translate as "blue balls".
As males grow older, their body begins to start to fail to work properly. Bodily functions begin to take more effort, or need more concious control over them.
THe prostate and male "gear" down there is especially vulnerable to the effects of time and failing health. Men over the age of 25 are requested to get checked annually by their doctor, as well as advised to masturbate regularly. The reason for this is due to the fact the body cannot addequatly reject and eject excess fluids (including semen) as well as it used to, so a stored volume (not ejaculated) can increase chances of various medical complications, such as PC muscle un-functionality, incontinence, and yes, the infamous prostate cancer.
So it is suggest for males to evacuate their stuff at the very least once a week, 3 times is best, and I would suggest once every day...
Cheers

Well when I was 18 I was out on a date with a young woman and we were making out pretty good in the movies. Of course back then it was not to be finished as it would most likely be today. So she went back to her dorm soon after the movie was finished. Well I was in the military and had no car so I was waiting for the bus when I got some of the worst pain in my life in my testicles. I had to mount the bus bow-legged and I could hardly sit down. The bus ride was a long one back to the base and by the time I got got back to my barracks the pain began to subside. I truly think that if the male body thinks it is going to ejaculate because of heavy petting and it doesn't, then there is pressure built up in the vas deferens the tube that delivers the sperm to the prostate to be mixed with the seminal fluid just before ejaculation. I have since been extensively involved in love making and pride myself as a excellent lover, but no matter how long I have waited before climaxing since that one episode I have never experienced it again. True story!

well Blue Balls - is a floklure slang. but it happens. however, the balls, arent really blue. the terms applies to "blue" as the emotion - as it happens after a guy fails to get laid. most men who get "blue balls" is from several erections - that dont get off. so the up and down backs up the prostate and all the male repoductive tract and organs with semen and all that fluid.
and it hurts and the balls feel tender and sore. the cure is the same reason they got em - they need to get off. it generally lasts an hour, but can last much longer in younger men.
Thats blue balls. what the other guy said is the most off-center exclaimation ive heard.
but to answer your question: its true and an actual symptom is medically diagnosed as Valsalva Prostaglandins.

There's no such thing.
Mens' bodies have a wonderful way of taking care of their own "needs." There IS a need to ejaculate fairly regularly -- our bodies make *lots* of sperm, and it needs to get out and make room for more. But in the absence of intercourse, and if he doesn't masturbate, one night he'll just have a nice little wet dream, and his body will take care of itself by ejaculating during his sleep.
"blue balls" is an excuse for wanting to have more sex -- which we all do, no question, but there's no physical harm done if you don't.

it's a lie. It's told by guys wanting to pressure a girl into sexual intercourse when she doesn't want to. The "relief" that is supposed to come from having sex can also be achieved by masturbation. So now you know what to say to a man who gives you the blue ball b---sh--. Tell him to go buy a watermelon that's already been chilled.

If men (esp. young men) pet and play around and stay aroused for a long time. The pressure to relive the semen builds up and aches including the testicles. This aching is called "blue balls" and is relived upon ejaculation.

yes, blue balls is totally real. i asked my boyfriend about it and he said its worse than getting kicked in the balls, like 10 times worse. the balls actually turn a bluish color too, because of all the semen built up trying to reach an orgasm. hope this helps! :D
