I'm a U.S citizen, but I noticed a little while ago after going through my paper file drawer that my passport expired. Is a valid passport (if any) required to fly within the U.S.?

Not within the United States, but it does make boarding a plane a bit easier. Pass Ports are basically being used for National Identification Cards.

No not if you are a U.S. citizen. However, you do need some sort of I.D. A passport is good for that but a drivers license will be accepted. You might get a hassle but they have to take it. Canadians don't even need a passport to travel in the U.S. But they are thinking of changing that.

No not at all! But it is always good to have your passport updated! Especially if you have any family out of the country and you have to leave for an a emergency!

YOur driver's license is sufficient, but next year, anytime you leave the country by any means, you'll need a valid passport

As long as you don't leave the country, you don't need a passport.

Not as long as you have a valid id and a ticket to fly.

No, but it should be considered. Arizona is being overrun by illegal immigrants from New Jersey and the sate is going to "pot" literally. They should have a quota system protecting the state from unemployed blue hairs from "Joysey"
