Please help me, I'm desperate!!
I'm going to fail my subject at school if I don't find the answer here!

pretty much the same way as you would use the other measurements,
the example of the speed of the car above is kind of wrong,
the speed is indeed a number, not a vector.
but
the idea is that instead of getting a single number you get a few of them.

You use non-scalar instruments the same as scalar ones.

For instance, a radar detector on a police car.

Speed is a scalar: 100 miles per hour

Velocity is not a scalar...it is a vector. 100 miles per hour going north.

So, measured the same...just verbiage changes.
