spring loaded corner curtain rod?

does such a thing exist??? if they do where could i get one? and it would have to be for corners!...

You can check department stores like Walmart, KMart and Target, among others. They'll be with the other curtain rods in the home decorating department. However, the shortest length I have seen is a 12" rod, which you could adapt by examining the mechanism and cutting it shorter.

You may also want to consult the advise of a curtain and drape specialist. They will have ideas that might help you.
