I do. If they are truly worth it.

I did start to download, but i just didn't like to listen to them. It's just has no personality to it, especially if you don't have the capability to make a CD cover. Furthermore, i couldn't see myself downloading, say, a John Coltrane Album without the impulse! artwork. That's art.
I buy vinyl & CD's. I like looking at the artwork, reading the liner notes, feeling whats in the artist head. I dont mind spending some money on a disc. It's hard now to find quality, so i can feel why people download. But at the end of the day, if it's something that i know that i like, i will buy it.

I still buy CDs. Two reasons: there are times when my iPod won't work in the car, when I don't have a good signal for it. I need CDs then because radio sucks.
Second reason: I had bought a few albums and songs online, and like an idiot didn't back them up to disc. First, my iPod crashed, taking all of its songs with it. Then, before I got it fixed, my computer died and wiped out everything. So, I'm out of the music now.

why???? the only reason why i might buy a cd is if i cant find it online or is really rare. This is my personal opinion: but i think its worthless to buy cd's because if anybody is anybody and has heard of file sharing...... well there is a word you can type in to come up with just about every album of your favorite artist (unless they are not popular) that word is DISCOGRAPHY. You know how many cd's you would have to buy to add up to a discography for one artist? Plus in "music stores" they DO NOT have such a thing as MIXTAPES, accapellas, cd's of instrumentals, dj mix cd's such as dj clue. (if they do there's not that many). They do not have an Eminem mixtape in stores. That is 4 words that music stores do not have that much of (if any) but u type those 4 words in file sharing u get a whole lot of instant results. Believe me file sharing is the way to go, buying cd's is so 90's.
Plus blank cd's are 700mb and u can fit 9 or 10 albums on one cd instead of buying a real cd for $9.99. quick math what is $10x10albums=NO Logic that's what it equals
oh yeah i forgot to mention how many tracks u can fit on cd'rs? uhmmmm let me see, oh i don't know, a ballpark figure around 240 and how many does 1 cd hold uhgg 14 tracks big difference.

Depends. The music I listen to is music you can't typically buy in stores, so I have to order online. And I really only order CDs online when I'm buying a lot at once.
So I usually just download first to see if I like something and if I like it enough I eventually buy the CD.

absolutely - I am a musician and I am obsessed with music. My CD collection stands at about 700 currently and it is constantly growing. I also own a couple hundred vinyl record albums - I download very little music because I like to support other musicians and the industry - what would we do without the music industry?

Yep, bought three this week: pre-ordered the new Best of Moby CD because I love the Moby/Debbie Harry (of Blondie) duet on it, also ordered Elton John's new CD because I heard him sing it live in concert recently, and, finally, ordered the new Depeche Mode "Live in Milan" Digipak DVD/CD package because it was a great show live and the Digipak is such a great bargain! I still prefer having something in hand to look at (lyrics/art/pix, etc.) than downloading...

downloading the cd first allows you to hear it before you get burned buying a cd that only has maybe 1 or 2 good songs.

The stuff I look for is pretty hard to find using itunes or limewire, so I use Ebay and just buy the CD there.

Yes, I do. Support the musicians. Recorded CDs last longer than burned ones too.

Oh yes you can buy CDs at any bank. They still don't pay much interest these days but CDs do pay more than demand accounts.
