If you are going to buy outright it should cost you around Rs.4000/- per sq.ft depending on the locality. For rent...around 10 to 15 Rs per sq.ft.

Indiana is probably pretty much like Iowa, so figure about $1/sq ft/mo, so $1200 per month, plus utilities.
