Hello,

The question you asked was that is it possible to text someone via the net using the computer.

Yes, provided that the person you want to send the text message to has a Ten (10) digit phone number it will go.

You can have a quick access to it if you create a personal page on google. you'll be introduced to alot of links all you need to do is select it and it will add to your page and anytime you select your personalized page on google you'll be able to uses your free text message.

One more thing though I will advice you not to do it. You can create a box for anyone you have their number provided that they use an American number. Like NEXTEL, Verizon and some other numbers. And share their number in between people and just ask them to send message to the boxes

Assuming I am using a NEXTEL services provider my mail will be

mynumber@nextel.com

And everymessage sent to the box will be delivered into the persons number you can use it for urselve.

Please don't try usng it to hurt anyone. If you release it to just a single site believe me the person's phone will continue to ring all day. Allot of junk mails will pay such person a visit.

Justr use the one that works for you.

Cannot 'text' between computer and cell without subscribing to a service.

But text message can be sent to cell from this site
http://www.smseverywhere.com/
http://www.smseverywhere.com/send.htm

An email address can be added to a cell phone phonebook, and a text message can be sent to the email address.

if you know who they have their phone service through, you can go to that website and there will be a link that says send a text, and you can just click on it and put in their number and text away!!
