When you use Weed & Feed, make sure you have no plans to seed/overseed you lawn any time up to 4 months after application. The Weed portion of Weed&Feed is not selective against just weeds but will prevent germination of grass seed also. Learned that leson the hard way. If you have any seeding plans, use a regular fertilizer and go back later with a spray on weed control. The disadvantage of this is that you have to reapply with new emergent weeds.

Just about all major fertilizer companies make weed and feed fertilizers. DO NOT do like Cyberbrat says. You don't want it to rain or get sprinkled for at least 24 hours to give the weed killer a chance to work. You DO want to put it down when the lawn is wet, however, so the granules will stick to the weeds. Most people put it down early in the morning when the dew is still on the ground but you could spray it before application.

use a weed and feed fertilizer in the early morning when the dew is still on during as warm spring/summer day...there can be no chance of rain for at least 24-48 hrs after applying
also it does help a great deal if you mow your grass higher...this will allow the grass to grow stronger roots and grow thicker
also taller grass will not allow sunlight down to the soil therefore stopping the germination of new weed seeds plus any low growing weeds will eventually die from lack of sunlight
the shorter the grass the more weeds you have
set your mower on its highest setting and you will see some difference in the 1st year and every year after that you will start to see less weeds and more grass.....it is never recommend to mow your grass at a low heighth
my yard is doing much better on just plain fertilizer and mowing the grass at the highest level i can set the mower deck

Any garden center, {Home Depot, Walmart} Carries various brands of weed and feed, my favorite is made by scotts, ask your lawn and garden professional which might be best for your paticular grass.
