its actually a bit 2 early 2 conclude...apparently everyone must b feeling that akhtar is guilty and he has comited this thing!! on this ground ofcorse i dun have any sympathy!! but, there r mnay stories hidden behind the scene...as always in pakistan cricket...threfore, this scandal is no exception at all...team doctor said that shoaib never went for these medicens knowingly...he knows nothing about medicns...and he is not that stupid that knowwing that there is a dop test going 2 b conducted in a week's times and he goes 4 medicens...he was in such a prime form..and he could have waited for it...had he 2 opt those medicns...seems like his private doctor might have given him those medicens..2 prove himself...moreover..i feel PCB n akhtar never went 2gether...no harmony among them...this could also be a factor!! alas...we may say that a bright bright career has come 2 n end...and i am afraid v may not ever see akhtar back in action on the field!! its a sad story for nayone who loves cricket!!! but if he did it intentionally...i have no sympathies...but the way he racted and he even cried...and ppl close 2 him said..that he didnt even cry at the hardest of times in his life...this tell that the story may not b that simple as it aparently looks like

It happens in three ways-one, the player unknowingly picks up off-the-counter foods containing these drugs. Two, the player is given these drugs to recover faster (these drugs help rebuild muscles faster) from injuries (both Soaib and Asif were injured in recent past) and three, the players deliberately take the drugs to cheat. The third is the one which will have to be proved and if proved, will cause a two year ban.

As far as I am concered, I am a little too disappointed about Asif. He seemed to be a real find and a very gifted talent. As for Soaib, his arrogance and plethora of past controversies do tend to make me a little skeptical about his motives.

If he has done this deliberately then no sympathies for him as he has done something which was not needed at all. i m sure he could have done even well without medicine.
but if he is innocent, n i m feeling him innocent then my wishes r with him. i cant belive that one can be that idiot.he is a mature player n know everything. he cant go for that....u r right he is one of the delights of world cricket.....n if he is innocent then i wish him back to the team as we want to see him again.

Makes no difference that he's one of the best players to watch in world cricket. We've seen in loads of other sports that everyone who's accused says "I'm innocent". If he is, fair enough, but everyone in top sport nowadays knows that you have to be careful of what you're taking into your body. Warne's suspension should have been a clear enough indication to cricket players worldwide. He *had* to be suspended and let the regulations run their course.

Rules are rules. How could you justify letting someone off of a doping allegation because they are one of the greats of the game? That is crazy!

If his "B" test isn't positive he will be cleared.. and alternatively he wouldn't deserve to bowl. I think his country's cricket board have made the right decision in withdrawing him immediately.

If he has done that deliberately then I think he should be banned but if it was an accident then I guess he should be forgiven. I am from India but still he is one of my favorite cricketers
